I’m a little tired of being asked the same question over, and over. “You’re a vegetarian, what can you possibly barbeque?” There are endless possibilities. It is just silliness to think that the only thing that can be cooked on a grill is carcass.
I enjoy a vegetarian barbeque at least three times a week in the summer. There is a meat alternative to almost every regularly grilled meat product. One that I have not seen, and I really do not want to see, would be veggie ribs. That’d just be a little odd.
I had a vegetarian barbeque tonight. We had roasted baby red potatoes with carrots, and veggie and tofu kabobs. The other night we had tofurkey sausages, which have become a bit of a regular thing. If you have not tried them, do it up. They are one of the meals that I most look forward to. Veggie dogs and veggie burgers are of course simple and delightful.
Almost every vegetable can be grilled up at a vegetarian barbeque. You get to spend time outside in the sun, and eat a healthy and delicious meal when you are done. Next time someone asks me that question, I now know I can just send them the link to this post and be done with it. Thank you, and good night.
