Whatever your reason for becoming a vegetarian, there are four different types of vegetarians and you can choose the type that you want to be. There are 4 different types of vegetarians, as some people are not willing to give up all animal products completely.

  • Lacto Vegetarians: This diet consists of no animal products or eggs. They do eat dairy products such as milk, cheese and yogurt.
  • Ovo-Vegetarians: This diet consists of no animal or dairy, but they do eat eggs.
  • Veganism: This diet consists of plant-based foods, which means that it excludes all animal products including dairy, eggs, meat and even honey.

  • Level 5 Vegan : This type of vegetarian does not eat anything that casts a shadow, and they also pocket mulch. uhh.. just kiddin. hehe.

A quick question maybe you can help with. Both my wife and I have been vegetarians for over 20 years. She has decided to become vegan, and now has to read all the small print on labels. She has come across some mixes that list U dairy ( a ‘u’ in a circle) and K dairy (kosher?). What does this mean… and is it vegan?
    Thanks for the help
