Reading this made me smile. But you forgot to mention that you also have a cat that wants to be a vegetarian. His favorite treats are leaves and grass. I guess you need a longer list. Heart.

Well, I wouldn't eat the leftovers. He does not support the meat industry, and I respect that. There is no such thing as a meat purchasing environmentalist? Better maybe?

Ha, your longing for jerky is funny. I wanted to bounce something off a vegetarian for awhile. In regard to

"I am as much an environmentalist as I am a vegetarian. Here is another one of my blogs: Earth Threat dot Org. There is no such thing as a meat-eating environmentalist."

Well, how would respond to to people who eat meat but only as leftovers? A teacher of mine would never order or purchase meat, but if he went to a restaurant with friends and meat was left over, he would eat it, in light of the fact that it would be thrown out otherwise. This to me always made a lot of sense.

Hey, Chris:

I think i have been to your blog before, but you must have made a major makeover to it, it looks real tight, (as the kids say). lol. You visited me today, thanxs for dropping by, and do come again. I am digging the adding links to other veg bloggers, i am going to do that. I have not seen this before, neato idea, indeed. P.S. I wish you wouldn't feed your snake a live mouse. ouch! Snakes kill with acid, i think. (double ouch)

P.S.S. also, i have not seen the (meet your meat) video, i have seen the link on PETA and in other blogs, i can only imagine the horror within it, and i'm sure if i see it, it will traumatize me for life. So i pass, but i know it is beyond terrible a reality.

Will be back, Missy.

Fun read! Thanks for playing along.

And there was an entry in the Vegetarian Carnival a while back that was a recipe for vegetarian jerky - have you tried making it yourself? :)

Yeah! Your comments are working. What a great list. I think I'll do it from a vegan aspect. :-)

I've read a lot about bees. I've always been fascinated with them since I was a child. I'm thinking of getting a hive for my place next spring. Queens usually live for 2-3 years and when they are old the bees usually let her leave without killing her. The old queen is replaced by a new queen.

Bee's are fairly loyal to their hive so they usually won't abandon it unless something major happens for example, something happens to the queen, then all heck can break loose but I don't get worked up about the honey thing. :-)

I saw a frog eat a bird on a documentary. :-O) My ferrets eat raw meat. They aren't vegan so I'm not about to force them into doing something that is not good for them.

OT
You have some great sponsors. I love Mountain Rose Herbs and use them often.
